Trujillo 3 or 4-Day Itinerary

  • Snapshot of Trujillo’s remarkable archaeology & architecture, including Huaca de la Luna & Chan Chan.

  • Staying in the heart of Trujillo, right on its magnificent Plaza de Armas.

  • Can add extra day to explore El Brujo & the Lady of Cao.

Overview

Few places in the Americas can claim a historical and archaeological legacy comparable to Trujillo. It was here, between the Moche and Chicama rivers, that the Moche culture reached its apogee, leaving behind the Huacas of the Sun and Moon, the El Brujo complex and the Lady of Cao.

Later, the Chimu culture built the vast city of Chan Chan, whose dimensions surprise us even today.

And finally, the importance of Trujillo under Spanish rule has left a historic centre full of mansions, churches and convents.

Reviews

We arrived yesterday right on time and Julio was there to meet us.

Had a great walk around Trujillo and today Chan Chan and the huacas.

Julio is fantastic. On top of everything, he is a birder!

Thank you for setting this up.
