In this age of social media, we were able to keep a close track on the progress of Anglo-Malaysian clients, Andy & Julia Little, as they travelled from Lima to The Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu to Cusco to Lake Titicaca (both Peruvian and Bolivian sides) and back to Lima.

Scenic views wherever you look! The drive from Cusco to Ollantaytambo was stunning. Pictures doesn’t do it justice.
Two days of acclimatisation in Sacred Valley before our Lares trek. The weather doesn’t look too promising!
Browse around market in Ollantaytambo for a bit and did a bit of retail therapy 😅😅 An ‘alpaca’ jumper for Andy and some loud trousers 👖 and a scarf and a pair of warm and loud leggings for me too!
Full day excursion to Pisac Archaeological site, Pisac Market and Ollantaytambo Fortress. Had a fascinating history on the Inca Empire by our guide. Very impressive!
Pisac market was bright and colourful and it’s quite an occupational hazard wanting to buy stuff that you don’t need. Andy did say that’s an everyday experience for me😂😂😂.
The Lares trek started well. We had a 3 hrs drive to the Lares hot spring, and had lunch there. Andy took advantage of the hot spring but I wasn’t too keen on getting wet!
It was sunny and quite warm when we started, but drizzled the whole way.
It took us 4 hours to first campsite ⛺️.
The view was spectacular along the way and we passed a few settlements. Some scenes reminds me of my home, Bario (Sarawak). Rolling mountains and the odd alpacas and llamas.
Took the Train (Expedition 083) and alighted at station KM 104 to the Short Inca Trail (6 hrs trek) into Machu Picchu.
I’m thankful that I managed to do the trek! Such breathtaking views and the walk doesn’t feel that long.
We had an excellent guide with us and very informative (also has the same dodgy sense of humour as Andy).
Took so many pictures. Everywhere you look is a Kodak moment!
Rest day today so off to the massage parlour. Had an hour of massage before venturing out into Machu Picchu town. It feels like a ski resort with lots of restaurants and tourist shops surrounded by mountains.
Took a 4 hrs train back to Cusco late afternoon and had an entertaining ride!
Slumming it on a 10 hrs ride from Cusco to Puno along the Andes.
Breathtaking views all the way😍. What an exceptional experience!
Copacabana, Bolivia was an afterthought when we were planning this holiday, as it is only 2.5 hrs from Puno, Peru and we could tick off another country visited. Worth every moment.
We were in for a surprise. We went to Sun island 🌴 and Moon Island today and it is such a gem.
We had an hour and a half ride on Lake Titicaca, (Bolivian side) the highest navigable lake in the world, on a private boat 🚣 to Sun Island first and 45 minutes to Moon Island after.
So picturesque 😍😍. As always we have a superb guide that introduces us to the history and nature of the place and he doesn’t disappoint.
Back to Peru today and staying at Hotel Titilaka. Such a luxurious place. Andy’s treat for me after the camping ⛺️ on Lares trek 😂😂. Love this hotel.❤️.
Another amazing day on Lake Titicaca. We visited a floating island made of reeds and Taquile island today.
Floating island was really interesting. There’s only 5 families living on this island. It takes a year to build.
Doing different things on one trip is interesting and exciting. One doesn’t gets bored 😊 loving it.
City tour in Lima, visiting churches and catacombs (but not allowed to takes pictures here).
Last Day in Lima, Peru. We had a gastronomy tour which includes going to the market, tasting some local fruits, looking at ingredients we are going to use, learn how to make Pisco sour, ceviche and had lunch after.
It has been an exciting and action-packed 2 weeks! Time to go home 🏠 now. ❤️Peru 🇵🇪 ✈️
