“Chuncho Lodge was another favourite accommodation. The food was consistently very good, with excellent vegetarian options.
It was great that coffee was always available throughout the day.
The combination of the Amazon setting, quiet, jungle sounds, activities and downtime made it a very enjoyable place to stay.
Having a few hours of downtime between activities each day was actually really refreshing after the fast pace of the rest of our itinerary.
We also enjoyed being part of a small group, which created a lovely atmosphere.”

“Seems to be a resident capybara family on opposite side of river, they sometimes come into lodge grounds at night ... saw an agouti paca on night walk plus good number of tarantulas, frogs etc.
Guide Gabriel was excellent once got to know him and understand his English better, his accent a bit tricky at first. His medicinal plants tour was excellent, lots of personal family anecdotes about using plants.”

Chuncho Lodge was really nice and essentially private!
The lodge on Lake Sandoval wasn’t quite as nice and our room was adjacent to the communal bathrooms.
Wildlife was incredible and the experience of just being in the jungle was very special.”
“My trip was very good, I am happy with the experiences and also the efforts the guide (Gabriël) and the crew (boatsman, helper, cook, ...) did to make it as comfortable as possible for me ...
One more tip: I didn’t know that I needed a smaller bag to go to Lake Sandoval because of the difficulty to get there. Happily they had a spare bag in which I could put the most necessary things in order to spend the next days at the lake. ”

The employees of the lodge were also kind and friendly.
The fresh fruit for meals was great, rest of the food was just ok.
The lodge itself is very nice, beautiful grounds.
The trip up river was the highlight.
