What our clients and staff say about Sandoval Lake Lodge:
“Best thing about the Lodge / Lake is drifting along the shore in canoes, which means you can get much closer to any wildlife than on walks or boats that use outboards. All the best wildlife photos I took on the trip will be from Sandoval Lake.
Lake has a good hoatzin population, plus herons (inc rare agami heron, really beautiful bird, maybe the wildlife highlight!), macaws, parrots, kingfishers, sun grebe, wild muscovy ducks, flycatchers, black caiman (Boris [the guide] said these often eat young otters).
Also saw a lot of bats and a nightjar near the lodge”
